It was a hot day on a boiling hot bus with Room’s 9 and 7 on the Wednesday of our EOTC week, we were heading to Castor Bay. I looked at my EOTC book to see what I was doing first and it said my group “Rangitoto” was doing kayaking first, then I felt nervous!! Once I got settled into the kayak Cruz and I started a little race and we tied but it was so much fun. Once the instructor (Owen) called us over he said “Let´s play follow the leader and I'm the leader” and so we followed him. I was near the back most of the time but that was fine and then Owen taught us how to do a donut my donuts weren't that good because I had never kayaked before and I couldn’t do it properly. Then we started to play a fruit game I was an Orange and I had to kiss the front of my kayak and sit on the back of the kayak after it was fun! After we had one more little game where there were two teams, red and yellow, and you had to hit Owen’s kayak.I was in red team and we won!! After we went in and had morning tea I checked my EOTC book to see what I was doing next and it said “Rangitoto” was doing “Raft Building” next and this made a shiver go up my back and I felt anxious and nervous but I still thought this was going to be fun!
